IN THE OTH GALLERY

Joe Cullimore

Joe Cullimore is an artist hailing from Waterford, a small farming town in Ontario, where a childhood surrounded by hardworking individuals instilled a deep respect for craftsmanship and creativity. Blending vivid painting with hand-sewn sculpture, Joe creates art that is both surreal and striking, often exploring imagery that can be hard to look at - but rendered in a bright, captivating color palette.

Living with mental health challenges, Joe uses his art as a conduit for processing complex emotions and transforming difficult subjects into works that spark curiosity and conversation. Each piece reflects a meticulous commitment to detail, whether through brushstrokes or carefully stitched seams, and invites viewers to explore the tension between discomfort and beauty.

Joe aims to create spaces where the unsettling and the beautiful coexist, offering audiences a glimpse into a world where vulnerability becomes a source of connection and strength

Lemmon Zest Studio

My name is Addi Lemmon, and I am a freelance painter and illustrator currently living and working in Waterford, Ontario. My style is very much inspired by my spiritual connections with plants and the land, as well as my experience of growing up in rural southern Ontario.

I graduated from the University of Guelph in 2022, where I received a Bachelor of Arts Honours in Studio Art with a minor in Art History. For the summers of 2019-2022, I facilitated Camp Create, a daily art camp for children run by the Art Gallery of Guelph, which helped to ground my art practice in joy and play between long periods of theoretical intensity. Since then, I have produced multiple works for commissions as well as myself, and shown and sold work in galleries and art markets in Guelph, Waterford, and the surrounding areas.

Thanks for visiting :)
